STAINED GLASS CLASSES
Come and Learn the Art of Stained Glass.
STAGE 1– The Beginners Intensive Workshop: Takes you through the fundamental techniques of leadlighting and copper foiling, introducing you to the skills of cutting and leading glass. This is a hands on class and you can expect to finish 2 A4 sizes practice pieces. The Beginners Intensive class over 3 days to get you acquainted with the techniques of stained glass, and to quickly build on your skills as you complete the courses.
STAGE 2 – The Intermediate Classes: Follows on allowing you to up skill and tackle your own project as we go further into the techniques of leadlighting. Includes planning, drawing up your pattern, and constructing your own larger personal leadlights, or copper foiling. The classes are 9am to 5pm over a 3 day weekend.
If you are experienced, you can up skill to the next level working on your dream project with guidance and support.
STAGE 3 – Intermediate / Advanced Classes: Weekly 3 hour drop–in classes available post Beginners classes so you can pursue your own projects at home.
LOCATION – Classes are held at the Elegance studio on our property at Yathella, 20 minutes north of Wagga Wagga in the Junee direction.
If you’re from out of town, why not put a group of 2 to 4 people together and come on consecutive weekdays or for a long weekend. Stay in Coolamon, Junee or Wagga for an artistic trip away!

Beginners Intensive Workshops
3 Day Intensive workshop 9am to 5pm. Quickly gets you accustomed to stained glass and gain the necessary skills. Great if your from out of town and wish to make a weekend of it. Stay locally in Coolamon, Junee or in Wagga! See dates below.
TO GET YOU GOING
● Workshop safety, tools, materials, and demonstrations.
● Glass cutting techniques and practice.
● Cutting, leading and soldering your practice piece.
TO BUILD ON YOUR SKILLS
● Complete your second chosen leadlight design. Working on glass colour
and texture selection, cutting and leading techniques, soldering and
sealing your panels.
● Puttying techniques and finishing off your panels.
Discussions include:
● designing with lead
● the types of glass available and it’s selection
● the copper foiling technique
● designing and setting up an individual project you may be thinking
of completing
DAY 1
Demonstrations and glass cutting of your panels.
DAY 2
Leading and soldering demonstrations and building your panels.
DAY 3
Putty and polishing of your leadlights. Looking at Copper Foils techniques. Review your future ideas.
All Inclusive $490.00
Tools, patterns and materials for 2 x A4 sized set class projects, and / or copper foiling, safety masks, and reference notes are included.
Glass and lead for additional personal projects undertaken during this course are purchased separately and the cost is based on the size of the pattern and the types of glass and lead chosen.
Beginners classes are limited to 4 people max.
TOOLS
There is a basic tool kit to suit all your needs now and in the future which retails around $270.00, and is available at the reduced price of $240.00 (as at 30 December 24) for those in the beginners class. Soldering irons and grinders would be purchased separately as needed.
Beginners Stained Glass Classes
3–Day Intensive Beginners workshop to fast track your experience. Follow on with the 3–Day Intermediate classes to expand your skills by designing your own project in the studio with guidance and support.

Stage 2 — Intermediate Classes — prior experience necessary.
Gives you time to start on your own project in the workshop with
guidance and support.
Intermediate — 3 Day Intensive.
Follows on from the Stage 1 Beginners classes.
3 Consecutive days 10am to 4pm. $490.00 plus supplies. Deposit $130.00.

Refresher Classes
Separate, private tuition to up skill if you already have previous experience.
Full day $250.00 plus supplies or bring your own.

What to Bring
Lunch, and something to share for morning or afternoon tea.
Comfortable safety glasses (not goggles) if you don’t wear glasses, an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing
Leadlighting tools if you already own them.
Attire: general protective clothing and covered-in shoes.
Intermediate / Advanced Weekly Drop–In Classes
Expand and up skill with the weekly drop–in class and tackle more complex projects with guidance and support.
Intermediate experience necessary.
Monday: 10.00am to 1.00pm – $60.00 per class.
Glass, lead, tools and other materials for your project purchased separately.
